Whenever I have worked at Lains Barn, it is always beautifully decorated, with it’s famous sashes and lanterns hanging from the central beams, complete with warm white fairy lights. The original stone floor makes a great platform for dancing (changing into flats is strongly advised) and the adjoining bar area has plenty of space for guests to mingle between the wedding breakfast and evening party. Their well-stocked bar always has a good selection of local ales on tap too. The garden has plenty of space for the kids to play and has plenty of great photo opportunities.
Despite it’s apparent remote rural location, Lains is very easily accessed from the A34 and conveniently close to Wantage and Didcot (great for those travelling by train) with several quality hotels and guesthouses nearby. Photographers love Lains Barn as it presents so many great photo opportunities. From a DJ’s point of view, the barn has great acoustics, perfectly laid out for ceremonies (we can position our kit in a discreet manner) and a mirrorball is highly recommended. Your first dance photos will look fantastic!
