Disco Pricing

How much for a disco? Prices start at….

Quite expectedly, this is the first and most frequently asked question of them all!

You can be forgiven for thinking that a DJ turns up with a set amount of equipment, plays your music and goes home afterwards for a fixed fee. But there is so much more to the exceptional event that you deserve. Why settle for four hours of music blasting from a corner?

I make no excuse for the fact that my fees are higher than average. The time and money invested in training as part of continual development as a professional DJ. The premium grade equipment, transport, insurance and of course, the whole art of DJing which takes years to learn, hone and perfect. Then there is the many hours of preparing for the event itself. In the case of an evening function, there is at least two hours either side of the four or five hour performance time which involves just the travel, loading in and setting up and packing down alone. An all day wedding averages 18 hours on the day and that excludes the many hours of prep beforehand. In most cases, the DJ is the last person to leave! There is a whole lot more than just the time spent performing.

Since no two events are the same it is not as simple as giving a straightforward price. The standard of service I offer is not a commodity or an off the shelf click and play ‘package’ disco. It is fully tailored to suit your event, times, number of guests and venue. This starts with our initial enquiry where I will offer to meet with you. This allows me to know exactly what you are looking for in a DJ and provide the background information I need to deliver your perfect event.

If you are looking for the cheapest disco then I am not the one for you. Quality isn’t cheap and cheap rarely means quality. I once heard the phrase ‘If you think it is expensive to hire a professional, try hiring an amateur!’ Which is a very poignant message that there is only one chance to get it right. I am always ready to listen to your exact requirements. The best value is quality. Your entertainment should never be an afterthought or based on price alone. And don’t just take my word for it! Speak to other DJs, speak to me, speak to someone else, ask your wedding planner. It is highly important that you find the RIGHT DJ who you feel comfortable with for your event….
